Hermes would be similar, but Australia already has a very good 25 knot light carrier, and the primary difference from Colossus would be gaining 3 4" AA guns and a few secondaries in exchange for 2/3 of her range and "up to 52" planes to "20" planes (wikipedia). If you do develop and release a Rebuild/Remodel DLC, there are plenty of other IJN baby flattops to choose from. IJN currently lacks good light carrier options, and there are plenty of options to pick from. The liberty ship's lack of naval guns already means that IJN can get a lot more out of DD warfare, and adding more varieties of destroyer to their lineup is probably worth it (even if they already have a lot of them). I think the Shimakaze *would* improve the IJN's light ship gameplay because it would provide a valid reason for operating a destroyer squadron: Speed Advantage. The fletcher is already very good at what USN's DDs can provide for them. Japan having the better fleet destroyers is something that reflects their ww2 doctrine, and runs to correct the massaging of their combat strengths to be torpedoes (like in WoWs). Will there be future plans to add them officially or will it be part of a 3rd party mod? OK thanks for the thoughts we don't like to confirm things too far ahead, but I'll chat to the team about thisĪs far as roles go, I think that the ships on that list that would diversify gameplay the most would be Renown BC, Shimakaze DD, and Alaska Big Cruisers, in that order. Here are at least some of the ships that I know of that participated in the Pacific War that are not yet in the game: Originally posted by MacrossMX:As of version 1.4, I notice there are still a couple of ships missing for all sides. Will there be future plans to add them officially or will it be part of a 3rd party mod? There are also variants to existing ships (mainly Japan) that other people have noted which include the Ise Class Battleship-Carrier, and also the Mogami Class Seaplane Cruiser which almost no one mentioned. Nelson Class (Stretching it, but HMS Nelson did serve around the Indian Ocean and provided naval support Around the Malayan Peninsula in the final stages of the war). Renown Class (HMS Repulse served in the pacific and was sunk alongside HMS Prince of Wales) Shin'yō (Light Carrier converted from ocean liner) Hiyō Class (Light Carrier converted from ocean liner) As of version 1.4, I notice there are still a couple of ships missing for all sides.
